Fresh flowers need careful handling
Flowers are not a normal parcel, so we treat them differently. Bouquets travel upright in the vehicle, never stacked or laid flat. They stay out of direct sun and are kept as cool as possible for the whole trip, because heat is what shortens a flower's life fastest.
Where the florist supplies a water source, the stems stay in it for the journey. Potted plants and gift arrangements are secured so they cannot tip, slide or crush neighbouring items. Boxed arrangements are carried level and delivered by hand rather than left at a gate.
